Denise Cable is a highly trained and experienced UCI Diver and P.O.S.T certified law enforcement officer, serving as the Operations Sergeant for the San Diego County Sheriff Department’s 20-person dive unit, responsible for 4,500+ square miles of geography. San Diego’s proximity to the US-Mexican border has allowed Denise to train and work in partnership with numerous dive teams from local Law Enforcement and Life Guard Agencies as well as State and Federal Agencies including the US Coast Guard, Homeland Security, Border Patrol and the US Navy. Denise specializes in writing OSHA compliant SOGs for Public Safety Dive units nationwide, and performs expert witness and consulting services for dive-related legal projects.
As a professional underwater criminal investigator, Denise has recovered criminal evidence, vehicles, and human remains. In addition to her role as a UCI Instructor, she is a PADI Course Director, Emergency First Response Instructor Trainer and holds over 60 Specialty Instructor Ratings, 28 of which are for instructor-level training.
